征求街道公园广场等可以使用的具有文化和历史意义的名字

现在各个城市部门或公共机构都在做这方面的努力，之前已经有THPRD和Clark County通过我们在社区征集过，现在是City of Hillsboro。我们决定把这件事作为一个常态，把建议表格放在OCC网站上(https://pdxchinese.org/namingproj/)。这个名单会向所有政府机构开放。

在提出您的建议的时候，请注意以下几点：

• 塑造强烈的正面形象
• 适当性，考虑到地点的位置和/或历史
• 对当代和后代具有历史、文化或社会意义
• 对城市、地区、州和/或国家的居民具有持续重要性的地方、人物或事件具有纪念意义
• 努力尊重和尊重土著和其他历史上被边缘化的群体
• 避免商业化

More and more government agencies are engaging Chinese American community in proposing names for government owned properties that best reflect our diverse communities, including streets, alleys, parks, public buildings, meeting rooms, plazas, and other physical property owned by the government.

We have set up a Google form to solicit commemorative naming proposals from our community members. The list is open to all local government agencies.
