Daniel is a Junior student at Catlin Gabel School. He started his Wushu training at an age of 7, his team has been voluntarily performed traditional Chinese Wushu for numerical societies/events. Besides Wushu, Daniel has broad interests in science, especially hands-on works. He started to engage with volunteer work from the 6th grade, such as work in food bank, MC of OCC event, lantern work in Chinatown, etc. Our local populace needs volunteering efforts to develop the community connections, serve the people in need, and help to others. Daniel will continue his volunteering efforts to better others’ lives.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to join the President of the United States in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to Daniel Xian.
